A note on the magnet test: grade 430 is genuinely stainless steel, but it is magnetic — a magnet sticking to a sheet does not mean it is fake or mild steel. Grades 201 and 304 are non-magnetic (or only very weakly so). Tell us which behaviour your job needs and we'll supply the right grade.
